Long bus trip took us to Vaasa in the middle of a cold winter... went there with only 11 players as there were some last minute dropouts.
A very international squad featuring Thibault and Ben from france, Tchech Marex, Roo from Ireland and a few finns as well.
We got a first win against Linna 15-0 playing a very XV style game, that took a lot of energy. Went to the next game feeling too proud and Vaasa brought us back to earth by beating us 28-12 (21-0).
With our backs against the wall and no room for losses anymore, we got together, worked things out and went through our patterns. From there on it was a showcase beating physical Tampere 26-12, our hate/love enemy Warrioirs 7-20 in the semis.
For the final we knew there was a lot at stake because we were facing Porvoo and we needed to win to keep our championship hopes alive. Porvoo started strong and went up 7-0. But we got it together and played 7's style the rest of the way and cruised to a 42-7 easy win. The gametime was shortened from 2x10min to a 7min second half, becuse Porvoo realised at halftime game was over.
