After a one hour break it was time for the team to face Rauma Ice Pack, a team of strong and big players who were hungry to take their first win of the day. HRC started the game the same way they finished the last one, but only this time they had to be more creative to find gaps in the organized RIP defense. The player of the day, Eliott, scored 2 tries again, but Rauma was not ready to give up. They started to put the pressure to our end of the pitch and soon the game was even, 12-12. But as the whole day showed, HRC 2nd team is a team that works at its best under heavy pressure. With Marko and Mathieu storming against their big guys and the other forwards securing the ball possession, HRC scored one more try that was converted by Tony (as the other one of the previous tries).
After that Rauma had no chance as all of their attacks were stopped by good tackling by Anton, Petri, Niilo and Timo, who later that day told that he actually played his first game of rugby ever on Saturday. It was almost impossible to believe that when I had seen him playing so well. HRC took a deserved victory and was ready to play against Lahti, the best 10s team of Finland this year, that had won all the games of the season and scored 639 tries so far.
